Discipline & Grievance: Training to Get it right
This practical workshop uses case studies and legal frameworks to look at the ACAS Code of Practice and its practical implications in relation to discipline, grievance and dismissals. It will demonstrate the difference between discipline and incapability, and give participants the tools to ensure positive outcomes from negative experiences. The aim of the session is to develop a proactive communication style that reduces the need for formal dispute resolution in the workplace. It will provide practical strategies to help you deal with these issues in a constructive, supportive and legal manner, whilst operating within the needs of your organisation.

Amanda Larcombe is one of the Directors of Optima Workplace Ltd, a company that specialises in providing workplace coaching and counselling to small and medium sized businesses in the South West. She works as a coach and trainer for the University of Plymouth’s Centre for Leadership and Organisational Excellence, whilst also having her own Private Practice as coach, counsellor, supervisor and trainer.
