Maternity Benefits

From 5 October 2008 employees contractual rights will continue to accrue during the whole period of both ordinary maternity leave (OML)and additional maternity leave(AML) – a total of 52 weeks.¬† This means that holiday entitlement, company cars, mobile phones, health insurance etc. must still be available to those on maternity leave.
Pension contributions will continue to be payable by the company on the employees full pay for the first 39 weeks.  Employee contributions need only be calculated on actual maternity pay.
